  5. By the way, how about the applications those may create some files in System/User folders. Like some application create files in “C:WindowsSystem32″ or some may create files/folders in “My Documents” folder. How to take care of these cases ?

    Thanks.

  6. BK, I’ll include about those in the next tutorials.

CPR, please do not include crack or whatsoever with my guide. My guide is CLEAN, so I don’t want anything like crack/keygen/patch in it. If you’re gonna dirt someone’s work, do it elsewhere, but not on mine…

    Thanks for understanding

    Excuse me !!

Did I say that I am going to include any keygen/crack into ur tutorial ? I think u r misunderstanding something!!

  8. well, even it’s not crack/keygen, but still cracked, keygenned!! doesn’t that ring the same bell to you??? you’re tampering with my guide, dude! I want my guide AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE, no cracked apps, no keygenned apps! Didn’t you noticed that I’m not using any cracked/keygenned apps in my tutorials? If I want to use them, I’ll already include them, so PLEASE, tamper your own guide or something like that…

  9. Sorry, but what you are talking is not making any sense to me at all.

I just downloaded your guide from this site and read your tutorial today. Then asked you a question that I had in my mind about managing folders created by softwares, as I never had created any portable app before. Did this thing made you think that I am going to use/modify your tutorial for distributing cracked software something similar? I am not sure what are taking about.

    Comment by BK — March 29, 2007 @ 7:23 pm

  10. damn, I overreact and doesn’t seems that message is from you BK, I don’t blame you, but rather I blamed CPR for including cracked/keygenned apps in my tutorials. I don’t like that! If you’re going to make a cracked apps portable, fine, but don’t redistribute my guide with cracked apps/tools in it… Download my tutorials, and if you need crack/keygen for the apps, find it yourself, not by including them in my tutorials… hope you get that right…

  11. I am glad that finally it is clear to you that I was not the one who is trying to include your tutorial with some unauthorized stuff.

    Keep up the good work.

  13. @Danlode:
piccolo dal poco poichè ha tempo di farlo
    @Farcry3r
Thanx for the time and effort on the tut. I think Danlode wants to know when the rest of the guide would be available. I think he wrote in italian cuz it kinda looks like spanish which i can understand on a 2yr old level. For what its worth i said “little by little” . Yeah i know you want stuff in English but i can hardly wait for the rest of the tut myself.

  14. Oh, thanks for translating it for me Jusaskin. I’m currently busy with works right now, and there’s some projects up in my sleeves… So I’ll update it whenever I got the time to do so, but I can’t give a date on that…

  18. well, i got few questions:
    - can u make a application portable when it needs .Net framework to run? so i can run the application on a computer where there is not .Net installed

    - can i use any application made portable this way, with USER-rights? because when u make changes in registry, mostly u need ADMIN-rights for it?

    - can i use any portable app on any computer in the world? wihout having troubles with dependacies and ADMIN-rights?

i dont think so….and this is why i use thinapp to make things portable…..with thinapp i can make anything portable to run on any compujter in the world….but thinapp has 1 big disadvantage…u cann’t decompile the big exe…u will need the project files for it
